The Seven Valleys

The Seven Valleys by Baha'u'llah is my favorite of His writings.  It was written when He was exiled in Bagdad in response to questions from a Sufi mystic.  The book describes the progress of the soul towards God as going through stages or valleys.
In the first valley (Search) Majnun, the Persian archetypal lover is searching for his beloved (Layli, an archetypal beloved also from Persian stories and literature).
